These people are closer to family than most of my relatives are. So much love for all of these bastards.
I don’t know why everyone expects me to be able to pick a good career for myself. When I was a kid, I wanted to grow up to be a Pokemon Master.
I got diagnosed today with hypothyroidism (well, I think it’s technically subclinical), so I start taking my fancy new meds tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed that my heart doesn’t explode out of my body!
(I really don’t think it will.)
It still weirds me out that people are coming to me to ask if I want to stage manage their stuff. My brain still goes, “What? People WANT to hire me for things? I don’t have to beg them and send them 4000 letters of recommendation and bags of cookies and a suitcase full of 100s?”
Just have to make it to tomorrow at 5 PM. C’MON! HANG IN THERE, SELF!
Tonight, we braved the F1 traffic (it really wasn’t too bad) and the cold (that became too bad quickly) and went downtown. We went to a bar with a moustache theme and a see saw on the roof, a gay bar, another gay bar, back to the original gay bar, and a food trailer full of delicious kimchi fries. Much merriment was had.
I’m very sleepy. But very happy.
This is what I’ve been working on at night/on weekends. It’s going to be awesome!
I had so much fun at Austin Comic Con! I couldn’t take any pictures because of my costume, but much fun was had. If I find any pictures of me anywhere, I’ll post ‘em up.
I received my official Batman utility belt in the mail today. I think my life may have just peaked.
Trying to make this costume without spending a ton of money or having a lot of sewing machine access has been ROUGH. But I think it’s still going to come out looking good.
(Side note: this is my 2000th post! PARTY TIME!)
